ABOUT the Park:

**Pismo State Beach – North Campground** offers classic California coastal camping just steps from the ocean and minutes from the heart of downtown Pismo Beach. This family-friendly campground is known for its easy beach access, walkable paths, and proximity to local attractions including the Monarch Butterfly Grove, Oceano Dunes, and the famous Pismo Clam Festival.
North Campground accommodates both tent campers and RVs, with a mix of standard and hook-up sites. Campsites are flat, spacious, and connected by paved paths. Restroom facilities include flush toilets and coin-operated showers. Water spigots and food storage lockers are available throughout the campground.
Pismo’s North Campground connects directly to the boardwalk and trail system that leads to the beach, making it easy for campers to enjoy a morning walk by the ocean or an evening sunset stroll. Downtown shops, restaurants, and the pier are a short drive or bike ride away.

WEATHER:

Pismo Beach in October offers a comfortable climate with pleasant temperatures typically between 57°F - 78°F, moderate humidity, and a chance of increasing rainfall as the month progresses. It's a good time to visit for those who enjoy the outdoors and cooler temperatures, especially if you want to witness the Monarch butterfly migration.

ABOUT OUR CAMPSITE:

We’ll be sharing individual campsites, each hosting up to 8 people. Our reserved sites are a mix—some nestled side by side, others just a short stroll away—creating a cozy, connected campout vibe.
We’ll be sharing the campground with two other homeschool groups, so it’s sure to be a weekend full of friendly faces, spontaneous adventures, and new connections.
One central site will serve as our gathering space, complete with a group campfire and shared camp kitchens where we’ll host optional potluck meals—bring a dish, pull up a chair, and enjoy a relaxed evening with fellow homeschoolers.
🚐 RVs are allowed in the campground, but space is limited and varies by site. If you're planning to bring an RV, please check in with us first at campouts@hsc.org to make sure your setup will fit comfortably.
